Reading Health System, in West Reading, PA is searching for a Charge Description Master Coordinator.

As the Charge Description Master Coordinator, you will maintain the hospital’s Charge Description Master (CDM) in order to ensure compliance with third-party requirements and optimize revenue generation.
Position Responsibilities:
Will include all areas of the CDM, including correct CPT and HCPC coding, charges and professional components. We will also rely on you to coordinate, monitor and approve all changes made to CDM while ensuring the CDM information is being accurately placed on claim forms.
Position Functions:
Will include assigning revenue codes and reimbursement fees, monitoring and evaluating Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) billing for Medicare outpatients and performing reviews on outpatient encounters to validate coding assignments to ensure compliance with Medicare regulations. In addition, you will provide training and education to healthcare professionals in coding guidelines, modifier usage and documentation guidelines.
Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- CPT coding experience
- Preferably, an AAPC-certified professional coder
- Knowledge of medical terminology
