Position Summary:
Davenport University is seeking a Faculty member to join us in educating and preparing our students to assume emerging key roles in supporting the electronic and technological infrastructure for health services delivery. First offered in 2006, this growing program has achieved accreditation from CAHIM. As a member of our Faculty team you will help our students become professionals that work in a broad range of settings that span the continuum of health care, including office-based physician practices nursing homes, home health agencies, mental health facilities and public health agencies.

At DU, our students participate in the AHIMA’s Virtual Lab Project which provides students with learning experience that uses state-of-the-art technology and software. In addition, our curriculum builds upon the degrees in Health Information Technology and prepares individuals interested in pursuing Davenport University’s MBA program

Candidate Qualifications:
Qualified candidates for this 10 month position will have RHIA or RHIT certification with a Master's Degree in a related field preferred. In addition, candidates for this role will have previous experience teaching in higher education and/or five years professional experience in a related field.
