Job Description: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland is searching for Outpatient Coders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of complex clerical and administrative duties for Medical Records under limited supervision.
  • Uses established ICD-9-CM, CPT, and UHDDS guidelines to accurately code inpatient medical records in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Ensures optimal APC assignments and demonstrates proficiency in all record types at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

    Candidate Requirements:
    -AA degree or equivalent training in applicable studies.
    -One (1) year coding experience is preferred.
