Job Description: McBee Associates, Inc. is searching for 2 Coding Practice Managers, one located at our Corporate Office in Wayne, Pennsylvania, the other in our regional office in Columbia/Baltimore, Maryland. Some local travel is required.

McBee Associates, Inc. is one of the nation's largest, Health Care Management firms. Due to a rapid increase in business, the firm is seeking 2 Coding Practice Managers to support our Coding Practice, which is divided between our Corporate Office in Wayne, PA (Philadelphia Metro) and our regional office in Columbia, MD (Baltimore Metro). We are looking for one Manager to support each of these offices.

Position Overview:
The Coding Practice Managers will be responsible for implementing quality assurance initiatives, training and product development related to current coding practices. They will plan, organize, and control the Coding Practice to meet the firm’s mission, ensuring that accurate coded data exists for optimal reimbursement by the organization, coordinate all quality and compliance monitoring of assignments for client technical services and coordinate all quality and compliance monitoring of coding for professional services for the clients. They will manage the staff in reviewing client charts and medical records, ensuring that client coding is accurate and compliant, as well as identifying appropriate diagnosis (CPT-4/HCPCS) codes for revenue cycle initiatives. The qualified candidate must have an in depth knowledge of current coding practices.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years coding experience. Knowledge of multi-specialty coding required
  • Must possess one or more of the following: CCS, RHIT, or an RHIA credential through AHIMA; or a CPC/CPC-H credential from the AAPC.
  • Four year degree is required.
  • A minimum of two years of management experience and departmental financial responsibilities is required.
  • Must be able to work out of the Wayne, PA or Columbia, MD office.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Must be capable of producing detailed, comprehensive documentation and reports.
  • Travel to client sites is required.
